When someone accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior it happens in an instant. Sure, there is a process of growing spiritually and learning to follow Jesus, but there is a change in your heart right away, you know something just happened inside of you.
When Christians stray away from the Lord and eventually stop serving and following Jesus this usually happens over a period of time, it doesn’t happen instantly. Our enemy, satan, knows it will take him a while to try and pull us away from God, because satan knows his power is limited. He is very patient and works on us over a period of time trying to get us to stop following God. How do I know this, because it happened to me. I became a Christian when I was 10 years old. When I was 15 God was calling me to be a teacher, missionary or pastor. When I was 16 I quit following God. When I look back now, I can’t tell you when this change happened because it was a gradual change, sometimes you don’t notice it until it’s too late. Thank God, he called me back to Him when I was 38 years old. My book, “God Met Me at The Mailbox” talks about this amazing encounter I had with God 25 years ago.
Warning: Fellow Christians, be on your guard at all times, satan doesn’t ever rest in trying to pull you away from God.
